Mercedes: CarPlay, Android and MirrorLink

Mercedes is showing up its new C-Class with Apple’s CarPlay at the Geneva Motor Show, however the German premium car maker is willing to offer an equal treatment to all smartphones.

“As soon as Google brings its own in-car infotainment system to market, Mercedes-Benz customers will also be able to enjoy the world of Android in their cars,“ stated the company yesterday.

The car maker also highlighted it is a founding member of the Car Connectivity Consortium (CCC) which brought MirrorLink to life.

“The goal of Mercedes-Benz, alongside the integration of iOS and Android-based devices, is to offer maximum compatibility for smartphones with other operating systems,“ wrote Mercedes-Benz.
