Global traffic information supplier INRIX today announced the election of John Connors, former CFO of Microsoft to its board of directors, as a new independent board member.
Connors spent 16 years at Microsoft in various management positions including as senior vice president and chief financial officer from 1999 to 2005. He is currently a partner at venture capital firm Ignition Partners where he invests principally in business software and services companies. Ignition Partners is not an investor in INRIX.
This appointment is in line with INRIX corporate strategy to raise money in an IPO in the first quarter of 2013. The Wall Street Journal reported early October that the company hired Goldman Sachs Group and JPMorgan Chase for the same purpose.
