Verve Wireless, a U.S.-based mobile advertising platform dedicated to location-centric solutions has partnered with PlaceIQ, a provider of audience targeting data derived from physical locations.

PlaceIQ transforms 'location into context' by ingesting large amounts of unstructured and anonymous location-based data types such as photos, place, event, social and more.

After cleansing and normalizing the data, PlaceIQ then breaks the world up into 100 meter map tiles and offers patterns, trends, intelligence and context for each of these tile at various times of the day.

Verve Wireless currently works with 3,500 publishers across the United States. According to the company its ad network “currently reaches 94 million total unique users, with exclusive access to more than 35 million.“

"PlaceIQ and Verve are delivering a highly differentiated mobile audience targeting solution with this partnership. Because of Verve's focus on location targeting and local markets, we have great location data," said Tom MacIsaac, Verve's Chief Executive Officer.

"The breadth and quality of our location data really helps unlock the value in PlaceIQ's audience data. We understand where the user is and PlaceIQ understands the context of that location and together we can help brand advertisers reach people based user segments that were otherwise unavailable in mobile."

PlaceIQ already announced last month a partnership with mobile ad network Jumptap to offer mobile audience targeting to retailers.
